I saw this in the BA magazine and Sinek encourages reader’s to share it , so I have.
Life is infinite and we are simply finite players within it. We come, we go, we’re born, we die, life doesn’t care whether we are here or not. The infinite game doesn’t care whether you are in it or not, we are just players in the game – and we get one choice how to play it.
We can choose to live our lives with a finite mindset, which means we try to get richer and more powerful than our friends, to get more and have more. But what’s the point? Nobody wants their bank balance on their tombstone when they die. Rather we want to live our life of service – what we do for others – devoted mother, loving father, she inspired us…
To live our life so that others will benefit and literally live forever – passing lessons onto others, colleagues, friends, partners…
In an Infinite minded life, just like in an organisation, trust is better, co-operation is better, sharing wealth and knowledge, ideas are stronger and remarkably those ideals live forever.
Thanks to Simon Sinek for this. I think there is something to be said for this…
